Access control · Your pass
AEP & access card
Your pass is yours alone. One swipe, one person.
What your AEP is
- Your official airport worker ID
- Opens only certain zones, by your job role
- Stops unauthorised entry and helps spot insiders
One pass, one person
- Swipe your OWN pass — one swipe, one person
- Never lend, borrow, or share it
- Wear it visible, above the waist, at all times
No tailgating
- Don't hold a secure door for anyone
- Everyone swipes their own pass, every time
- Someone follows you in? Challenge them politely
Know your zones
- Landside: public area before security
- Airside: secure area near aircraft (staff only)
- SRA: the tightest zone — strictest access
Colours vary — read the pass
- No single national colour chart exists
- Each airport sets its own zone & colour codes
- Learn YOUR airport's codes — never assume
Lost pass · challenge
- Report a lost or stolen pass at once
- Challenge anyone without a visible pass
- Watch for the setup — a friendly stranger, a rushed 'favour'
