How much liquid can I carry in hand luggage in India?
You can carry liquids in hand baggage only in containers of 100ml or less, all fitting in one transparent resealable bag. A 200ml bottle that is half full still counts as 200ml and is not allowed — the limit is the container size, not the amount inside.
What counts as a liquid at security?
Liquids, aerosols and gels all count — water, drinks, perfume, deodorant, toothpaste, creams, curd and oils. If it can pour, spray or spread, treat it as a liquid and keep each container to 100ml in the cabin.
At a glance
- 100ml maximum per container in the cabin.
- All in one clear resealable bag.
- Larger liquids go in checked baggage.
- Medicines and baby food are exceptions when declared.
