Can I Carry a Camping stove on a Flight in India?
Last updated: 7 Jul 2026Reviewed by Ms. Rubab Nizami, Lead AVSEC Faculty
In short
You can carry a camping stove in cabin baggage within limits. A camping or backpacking stove may be carried only if it is completely empty of liquid fuel, drained and aired so there is no fuel vapour or smell. Any stove holding fuel, and all gas or fuel canisters, are forbidden. Airlines may still refuse a used stove — confirm first.
