You cannot carry a multi-tool (swiss army knife) in cabin baggage on Indian flights. Any multi-tool with a blade — a Swiss Army knife or a Leatherman-style tool — is a sharp object banned from the cabin, even if the blade is short. Carry it in checked baggage, wrapped so it cannot injure baggage handlers.
