What counts as sharp objects?
Common examples of sharp objects include Knives, Box cutters, Loose razor blades, Large scissors, Ice picks. All of them are treated the same way at Indian airport security, so the rule below applies to every item in this group.
Can sharp objects go in checked baggage?
In checked baggage: allowed in checked baggage (wrapped). Sharp objects that could be used to injure are prohibited in the cabin. They may travel in checked baggage if securely wrapped so they cannot hurt baggage handlers. If in doubt, pack the item in checked baggage or leave it at home rather than risk it being confiscated at the checkpoint.
