Last updated: 7 Jul 2026Reviewed by Ms. Rubab Nizami, Lead AVSEC Faculty

In short

A hold baggage screener checks checked-in bags for threats using in-line X-ray and explosive detection systems (EDS) before they are loaded. The path mirrors the screener route: AVSEC awareness training, screener training focused on hold-baggage systems, screener certification, then a hold-baggage screening role with CISF or a BCAS-approved agency.
