Can I Carry a Alcohol (alcoholic drinks) on a Flight in India?

In short

You can carry a alcohol (alcoholic drinks) in cabin baggage within limits. Alcoholic drinks up to 24% ABV have no special limit beyond baggage allowance. Between 24% and 70% ABV, up to 5 litres per person in sealed retail packaging is allowed. Above 70% ABV it is forbidden. Duty-free bought after security may be carried in the cabin in a sealed tamper-evident bag.
