Last updated: 7 Jul 2026Reviewed by Ms. Rubab Nizami, Lead AVSEC Faculty

In short

You can carry a dry ice in cabin baggage within limits. Dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) used to keep perishables cold is allowed up to 2.5kg per person with airline approval. The packaging must let the CO₂ gas escape and be marked "Dry ice" or "Carbon dioxide, solid" with the net weight. Undeclared dry ice can be dangerous in a sealed hold.
