Can I Carry a Ghee on a Flight in India?

Last updated: 7 Jul 2026Reviewed by Ms. Rubab Nizami, Lead AVSEC Faculty

In short

You can carry a ghee in cabin baggage within limits. Ghee is a semi-solid fat that melts to a liquid, so it follows the liquids rule: 100ml or less in the cabin clear bag. Carry larger tins in checked baggage, well sealed in a leak-proof bag so it cannot spoil other luggage.
