Last updated: 6 Jul 2026Reviewed by Ms. Rubab Nizami, Lead AVSEC Faculty

In short

Acts of unlawful interference are deliberate acts that endanger civil aviation — hijacking an aircraft, planting a bomb, seizing an airport, sabotage, or forcing an aircraft to a destination. Preventing them is the whole purpose of aviation security.
