AVSEC stands for Aviation Security — the combination of measures, people and resources that protects civil aviation against acts of unlawful interference such as hijacking, sabotage and bombing. In India it is governed by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) under the ICAO Annex 17 framework.
