Can I Carry a Laptop on a Flight in India?

In short
You can carry a laptop in cabin baggage. Laptops are allowed in both cabin and checked baggage, but cabin is strongly recommended because the lithium battery is safest where a fire can be reached. At screening you usually take the laptop out of the bag for X-ray.
