Can I Carry a Wheelchair on a Flight in India?

In short
You cannot carry a wheelchair in cabin baggage on Indian flights. Manual wheelchairs travel free as a mobility aid and are usually taken at the aircraft door and returned on arrival. Battery-powered wheelchairs need advance notice: the lithium battery must be removed or protected against short-circuit per the airline, and non-spillable batteries are preferred.
