Can firearms and ammunition go in checked baggage?
In checked baggage: only with a licence and prior airline approval. Firearms and ammunition are never allowed in cabin baggage. Licensed firearms may be carried in checked baggage only with a valid licence, prior declaration and airline approval, in an approved container. If in doubt, pack the item in checked baggage or leave it at home rather than risk it being confiscated at the checkpoint.
